As part of the transition to Maths Pathway, teachers complete a professional development course that aims to help equip them with the necessary resources and practices to implement a differentiated learning model at their school.
At each school there is a Trainer — this is a teacher who has attended a Maths Pathway Teacher Trainer Retreat. The Trainer helps guide teachers through all phases of the professional development course and implementation of the learning model. This includes running regular meetings with all Maths Pathway teachers.
To prepare for each meeting teachers watch some of the training videos, answer questions on these and do a brief reflection. It is helpful to set aside a regular time between each meeting for these tasks (either weekly or fortnightly depending on your meeting schedule).
