When starting Maths Pathway with a new class, it can be really helpful to begin with a rich task or two. After that, you kick off the first learning cycle, starting with a diagnostic. This lesson is a great way to introduce students to their first learning cycle.

Introduction lesson
This lesson helps students to:
- Understand what role the diagnostic plays in their learning
- Learn how to do their first diagnostic well - in a way which gives the best possible data
- Learn the basics of how to choose and complete their first module
