Why won't PDFs open on my Timeline?

Whether you're starting a test in Remote Learning Mode, or trying to view a module you've already completed, you may see nothing happen when you try viewing any PDFs. Following the guide below should get you going in this case.

How to disable a pop-up blocker on an iPad:

For Safari

1. Head to the Settings app and search for Safari

2. Tap on the Safari result

3. Make sure pop-ups are not blocked

For Chrome

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
  2. Tap the three dots at the top-right 
  3. Tap the Settings icon
  4. Tap Content Settings -> Block Pop-ups
  5. Turn Block Pop-ups off

How to disable a pop-up blocker on a computer:

For Chrome

1. Click the pop-up blocked icon at the end of the web address bar

The text 'Pop-up blocked' shows at the end of the URL bar, which is able to be clicked.

 

2.Choose the "Always allow..." option

The URL will display a drop down selection of options, which allows users to select the 'Always allow...' option, and click 'Done'.

 

 

For Safari

1. Click on Safari on the menu bar, and go to "Preferences..."

Safari browsers need a change in the menu to allow pop-ups. Selecting Safari in the menu bar, and then selecting preferences will bring up this menu.

 

2.Select the "Security" tab and uncheck the box "Block pop-up windows"

In the Preferences menu, the Security tab, that has a padlock icon, displays a tick box that reads 'Block pop-up windows'. Unticking the box will allow pop ups.

 

 

For Firefox

1. Click on the "Options" button at the end of the pop-up notification

A notification bar appears below the URL, which displays an 'Options button'.

 

2. Select the "Allow pop-ups..." option

Clicking 'Options' will display several options, including 'Allow pop-ups for ...'
